We're Not Saying You Can Easily Save the World...
But if we all work within our local communities we can make it to the national level and then the global level. Little changes add up at the end.
842 million people in the world do not have enough to eat. Even though this number has fallen by 17 percent since 1990 (WFP Hunger Statistics), hunger and poverty together are the number one problem the world faces (according to the EU Business Insider).
Did you know poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year?
One out of six children -- roughly 100 million -- in developing countries is underweight.
WFP calculates that US$3.2 billion is needed per year to reach all 66 million hungry school-age children.

Our Organization
Our Mission Statement
Our Marketing Plan
Wings of Peace International
Our group will raise $38,000.00 by having 8 fundraisers in 4 months to give the proceeds to Heifer International and Wings of Peace International in order to help humans around the world have their humanitarian needs satisfied.

Wings of Peace International Inc. is a 501C3 non-profit,
non-sectarian organization established to bring humanitarian aid worldwide
to vulnerable populations
and to promote peaceful global relationships.

WOPI responds to the requests of communities to work in partnership
to problem solve and then implement
a viable sustainable community development model. (according to their corporate website)
Heifer International's mission involves working with communities all over the planet in a collaborative effort to end hunger and poverty. The corporation was founded by Dan West, a Midwest farmer and member of the Church of the Brethren who also worked in aid during the Spanish Civil War. He sought to provide sustainable relief for weary refugees.
The "teach a man to fish" philosophy drove him to begin Heifer International. The way Heifer carries out its plan is through hope and prosperity. Families are empowered with more than just a handout. They are linked to other communities in both agriculture and commerce. Animals provide partners with food products and income. Markets are used for trading as well. The benefits of their efforts go to building schools, creating agricultural cooperatives, forming savings, and funding small businesses.

Our organization hopes to be a long term corporation that abides by our business plan. We have chosen to use a combination plan of money and food. Right now our organization is planning for the next 4 months.
Donations:
Start with Rotary members and local businesses
Then move on to friends and family
We'll use flyers and social media through youtube videos and social networking

Free Publicity:
Advertise at local facilities and then move on to private establishments. Submit to the news for assistance in getting the word out. Also, we can rely on word of mouth. Free publicity will push people to donate more, when they see we are operating on the bare minimum.
